via Daily Prompt: Blink

He can’t see me

Don’t think he can

Standing in this corner

Hiding from the man

Dark time is coming

I must think a plan

Gotta keep me safe

From the boogie man

Leave the light on!

That’s an idea

He can’t get me then

Nothing to fear

Must stay awake

Try not to think

The boogie man will come

Even if I blink

Mum is here

Sleep at last

All is well

The boogie man is cast

A Poem about my autistic son who was afraid of the boogie man after watching the movie, Monsters Inc.
