Before you read on…
Close your eyes for a moment and think about a flower, the first one that comes to mind…
What is it about this flower that you find so pleasurable? What made you think of it first? Who does it remind you of? How does it make you feel? Does it leave you bewildered?
Does it look like the flowers over the neighbours fence? Could it be the sound of bees looking for pollen? Would it taste as nice as it looks? Does it feel like Mum’s fluffy slippers? Is it the smell reminiscent of grandmas perfume?
Could it be a distant memory of a time gone by, a loved one passed, a childhood memory, an adult moment?
Whatever the reason, flowers touch that part of us that is unspoken, that connects us with joy and laughter, grief and sadness….
And enables us to know a little more about ourselves
