via Daily Prompt: Above

How nice it is to share with friends
the ups and downs of bread been sliced
shared and teared in hope and vain
crippling angst of employment pain

Will he not listen or heed her words
his arrogance and obnoxious jest
retrogrades above business and taste
what a bloody shameful waste

He knows not how, yet deems entitled
holds a grudge in deceitful pallor
his malicious toil and blatant converse
an employees nightmare or a curse

Carpe diem friend, Seize the day!
drink your wine and scoff your bread
valour be mental and courage be might
give stead and take freedom of flight
